Background
Peter Swanson knows about SMEs – he left Cambridge University with a degree in Mathematics and Law and immediately started his first company at the age of 22. He built this business through the highs and lows of the global economy and the changes and developments of technology and manufacturing. He has owned or been involved with sales and consultancy businesses to the technology manufacturing sector for over 40 years.
From 1996-2001, Peter was Chairman of Europe’s largest technical trade association for electronics manufacturing, and until 2022 was a Non-Executive Director for a technology start-up in the printed circuit board sector. He is an award-winning technical author and seminar presenter.
Peter Swanson attended the SWAGºÏ¼¯ School of Management Business Growth Programme (BGP) in 2001. In 2011, he was invited to be part of the BGP team. Peter is a Visiting Fellow at SWAGºÏ¼¯ School of Management, helping to deliver development and growth programs to small- and medium-sized enterprises. Independently, he counsels business owners through strategic business planning.
He has a particular interest and passion for sales and marketing for SMEs, and helping owners, directors and managers develop and utilise strategies and tactics for business growth. He has four children, eight grandchildren, and many more guitars.
