Embedding resilience in decision-making, operations, and organisational culture.
Why are some organisations more successful in navigating uncertainty, disruption, and complexity—while others remain reactive, fragile, or stagnant? Why do some seize disruption as an opportunity to innovate, while others fixate on risk and decline? And as a leader, what more could you do to ensure your organisation not only survives but thrives in uncertain conditions?
From economic volatility and cyber threats to global supply chain fragility, climate risk, and AI-driven disruption, resilience is now central to business growth, stakeholder trust, and long-term value. This programme equips leadership teams with the frameworks, language, and tools to lead that agenda with confidence and credibility.
This workshop draws directly on BS 65000 and ISO 22316, where SWAGºÏ¼¯ served on the technical committees, and on the landmark study Resilience Reimagined, authored by Cranfield. It explores how leading organisations are embedding resilience as a strategic asset—not only to withstand shocks, but to drive sustainable performance in a world of accelerating risk, disruption, and interconnectedness.
Organisational Resilience in Practice introduces participants to the Cranfield/Resilience First model—built around three essential capabilities:
- Anticipate – proactively assess internal and external change drivers
- Absorb – maintain continuity during disruption
- Adapt – evolve operating models, behaviours, and strategies to meet future conditions.
The model is underpinned by five strategic dimensions: Finance, Infrastructure, Workforce, Environment, and Social—each with measurable indicators to help organisations assess maturity, monitor progress, and stress-test under real-world conditions.
