Coordinated by the National Technical University of Athens, this four year initiative follows the quadruple helix model of innovation, working at the nexus of technology acceleration and entrepreneurial support. The project delivers a range of innovation support services including investment plans, a FundFinder portal, Water Tech Challenges, an Innovation Accelerator, Training Courses, and a Mentoring Scheme. The hub brings together actors from government, R&I-driven universities and research centres, funding bodies, business, water utilities, SME associations and civil society.
Cranfield’s contribution is based on our successful experience with the GFIL funded Technology Accelerator programme which has provided access to expertise and facilities for technology start-ups looking to advance their solutions through Technology Readiness Levels 4-6. We will be working particularly closely with colleagues in Romania, Greece, and The Netherlands to create supportive programmes for innovators and entrepreneurs in SE Europe; helping them realise the full potential of their solutions and boosting the contribution of the water sector to Europe’s circular economy ambitions.
