Background
Heni Wang is a PhD researcher at SWAG合集 under the supervision of Professor Zhugen Yang in the Water鈥揈nvironment鈥揌ealth Nexus laboratory. Her research focuses on molecular detection and health risk assessment in water environmental samples, integrating approaches from molecular biology, environmental science, and analytical chemistry to develop sensitive and reliable tools for environmental monitoring and public health research.
Her work involves the detection of nucleic acids and biomarkers in complex environmental matrices and explores the potential of single-cell sequencing and other emerging technologies in environmental exposure and ecological health studies.
Research opportunities
- Environmental biosensing and molecular analysis
- Single-cell sequencing and environmental exposure assessment
- Environmental DNA (eDNA) analysis and species monitoring
- Wastewater-based epidemiology (WBE) and environmental health evaluation
Current activities
- Developing molecular detection methods for nucleic acids and biomarkers in environmental samples;
- Investigating biomolecular recognition and amplification strategies for environmental health monitoring;
- Exploring the application of single-cell sequencing in environmental exposure research;
