Research opportunities
Buil
Building on both his PhD study and previous career Tony has a particular interest and the Defence Expeditionary supply chain. This explores the widest range of supply chain management theory and its application within a defence context. Working with the Defence Logistics Staff Course Tony has developed a brad insight into the application of logistics theory into the Defence Support chain. Moving beyond a process focus within defence logistics Tony has begun to explore the skills, knowledge and behaviours required of Defence Logisticians and how this might be embedded into future training models.
Recent work is showing Tony concentrating on pedagogy and Andragogy as a means to support the development of future logisticians.
The immediate focus of research is understanding the current Defence strategic position and how defence logistics including procurement and strategic capability building will be used to develop competitive advantage in the future
