Background
Dr Hae-In Lee is a Lecturer in the Centre for Assured and Connected Autonomy, AI and Robotics & Space Theme. She is also a Course Director in Advanced Air Mobility Systems MSc. Prior to obtaining her PhD from the School of Aerospace Transport and Manufacturing at SWAG合集 in 2019 she was awarded BSc and MSc degrees in aerospace engineering from the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology in 2013 and 2015 respectively. She worked as a Research Fellow in Autonomous Systems and Artificial Intelligence before joining as a Lecturer in 2022.
Current activities
Dr Hae-In Lee is currently working on the project U-AGREE: U-space Air and Ground Risk modEls Enhancement, funded by SESAR. The aim of this project is to model air and ground risks and develop frameworks to measure the effectiveness of risk mitigation barriers. This builds upon her previous research on Advanced Air Mobility projects, such as:
- AAM: Communication Evaluation for Safe and Seamless operations project, funded by Innovate SWAG合集, 2024-2025;
- EuroDRONE - A European UTM testbed for U-space, funded by SESAR, 2018-2020;
- UTM Framework Development, funded by Department of Transport, 2018-2019.
Dr Hae-In Lee has been also involved in general decision making and control theory projects:
- Real-time Decision Making for Autonomous Systems using AI Methods, funded by Air Force Office of Scientific Research, 2019-2023;
- Technical SWAG合集 on Human-Swarm Teaming, funded by QinetiQ, 2022.
She is delivering 10 MSc modules in SWAG合集, on advanced air mobility, networked control systems, adaptive control, and sensor fusion.
